UN Security Council May Arm Libyan Unity Gov’t to Fight ISIS

The UN Security Council today agreed on a plan to "train and equip" an army loyal to the Libyan "Government of National Accord" after US Secretary of State John Kerry made a strong case for the remilitarization of the conflict. The UN-created "Government of National Accord" may be supported by western governments, but it has virtually no support in Libya. It's unelected "presidential council" will be the real power behind the "unity" government, but so unpopular is the group that it had to be delivered to Libya from Tunisia via warship. Ron Paul Institute Executive Director Daniel McAdams is interviewed on RT America with his take on today's dramatic move...

Brussels - Unrelated to Interventionist Foreign Policy?

What is the meaning of the Brussels bombings? "Experts" will make endless self-serving suggestions about how to better fight terrorism -- these "solutions" will always include more jobs for these "experts." Meanwhile, none of the elites will for a minute consider the deadly combination of violent Western intervention in the Middle East and an open door "refugee" policy in the EU. Why do none of the experts see blowback, interventionism, sanctions, and neocons as a cause of hatred in the region? RPI Director Daniel McAdams joins the Scott Horton show to peel back the layers of nonsense that cloud the official story of the "war on terror." Listen to the program here.

Don’t Put Your Faith in Apple, Judges, or Congress to Protect Your Privacy

If we put our faith in technology company Apple, the United States courts, or the US Congress to protect our privacy, we may well find ourselves sorely disappointed. That is the message of Ron Paul Institute Senior Fellow Adam Dick in a newly released interview on the Wake Up Call Podcast.

Speaking with hosts Adam Camac and Daniel Laguros, Dick explores the legislative and judicial battle over whether the US government can require Apple and other companies to help the government access individuals’ private electronic information that is protected by passcodes, encryption, and other security measures.

While Apple is taking a turn as privacy hero in some recent court disputes, Dick notes the company also has a history of aiding the government in accessing private information on electronic devices.

Could An American Soon Be Prime Minister of Ukraine?

With the impending fall of US handpicked prime minister of Ukraine, Arseniy Yatsenyuk, it looks as if the US is about to take an even more direct role in running the country whose government it helped overthrow two years ago. Former US State Department employee Natalie Jaresko, who is currently serving as Ukraine's finance minister, is expected to be named prime minister of Ukraine by as soon as the end of this week. Previously, Jaresko managed a USAID "enterprise fund" in Ukraine capitalized with $150 million. She promptly emptied out that fund, all the while transferring millions in "fees" to an outside company she controlled. Yet we were told the whole purpose of the US-instigated "regime change" in Ukraine was to root out corruption.
