'Miscarriage of Justice' - RPI's Daniel McAdams on The Sentencing of Maria Butina

Gun rights enthusiast and graduate student Maria Butina has spent the last 10 months in solitary confinement in a notorious Alexandria, VA, maximum security prison. Her "crime"? Befriending NRA leaders and other political movers and shakers with an eye on using their gun rights skills when she returns to her home country. One problem: her home country is Russia and with the Russia hysteria still engulfing the US she was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Now she has to do another nine months in prison for the "crime" of not registering as a foreign agent - when others convicted of the same "crime" are most often given a very modest fine. RPI's Daniel McAdams is on RT International to condemn this shameful miscarriage of justice - ironically eerily redolent of "justice" in the old Soviet Union...

Will the neocons chalk up another victory after a suicide attack in Syria has left four Americans dead? Sen. Lindsey Graham blames Trump for the deaths for daring to talk about withdrawing troops. RPI's Daniel McAdams says if anyone is guilty it's Graham over Trump, as Trump would have had the troops home last year. Watch McAdams on RT...

Crosstalk: Nationalism

Was French president Emmanuel Macron correct at the WWI commemoration over the weekend when he asserted that patriotism is the opposite of nationalism in a pointed dig at US president Donald Trump? RPI Board Members Lew Rockwell and John Laughland join scholar George Szamuely on RT's Crosstalk to debate whether nationalism is the bogeyman that Macron and others make it out to be? Or is it just a way to further destroy national sovereignty and bring about an unelected permanent globalist empire?

Suspicious Timing of Mueller's Latest 'Russiagate' Indictment

Justice Department Special Counsel Robert Mueller announced Friday a new indictment  in his seemingly endless "Russiagate" investigation. This time a 44 year old accountant from St. Petersburg, Russia, was indicted for attempting to meddle in US elections by trying to "create and amplify divisive social media and political content" on social media. The Russian woman is said to work for Russian oligarch Yevgeniy Prigozhin, who it is claimed owns the Internet Research Agency, Ltd. RPI's Daniel McAdams points out in the interview below that the timing is highly suspicious, coming just days before Trump's National Security Advisor is scheduled to travel to Moscow in attempt to begin patching up relations...

What's Behind the Big Facebook Purge?

RPI Director Daniel McAdams joins RT America's InQuestion program to discuss the recent purge of more than 800 Facebook pages over accused "inauthentic behavior." What do many of these pages have in common, he asks? Well many are critical of the global US military empire, of the growing police state in the US, and of the failed US drug war. Is there a pattern? Facebook is working with the US government-funded Atlantic Council to decide which pages should be deleted. Might that explain some of it? Watch the panel discussion on the topic...
