Let The Re-Writing Of Covid History Begin?

undefined

It took much too long, but it appears that the tide of public opinion has finally turned. The term "trust the science" has suddenly lost its luster, especially when it comes from the mouth of a politician or so-called "expert."

The meanings of the words "science" and "expert" have been blown to pieces. But such is always the case when politicians get involved in things they shouldn't be involved in. They have an uncanny ability of destroying everything they touch.

Well, they touched the words "science" and "expert" and made them completely unrecognizable. I've heard the phrase "You can't tell what's true anymore" more than enough times over the last several years.

We've all had a front row seat in what a so-called "post-truth" world looks like -- It looks like totalitarian tyranny! Truth and Liberty go hand-in-hand; as do lies and tyranny.

No To Vaccine 'Mandates' & 'Passports'!

When the ideas of Liberty dominate - humanity flourishes.

When the ideas of tyranny and authoritarianism dominate - humanity suffers.

Back and forth the pendulum seems to swing. From light to dark; and then dark to light.

We live in dark times.

Many people now look back on 2020 with regret, shame and anger. Rolling over to fear did not work out at all. Allowing government to take unprecedented unconstitutional control over society produced nothing but disaster, as it always has (and always will).

The masks turned out to be useless, as was the anti-social distancing. The lockdowns produced record drug overdoses, skyrocketing suicides amongst the young (i.e., those least at risk) as well as mental and physical problems that will probably reverberate for many years to come.

'We know they are lying, they know they are lying, they know we know they are lying...'

undefined

While reading this week's Ron Paul Institute email newsletter, published by my colleague Daniel McAdams, I was struck by a quote that I've certainly read before, but it's just so relevant when reading it again today:

“We know they are lying, they know they are lying, they know we know they are lying, we know they know we know they are lying, but they are still lying.” - Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

What is it about lies?

Why are we constantly tasked with wading through a sea of lies?

Well, part of the reason is in the nature of human action. All human action is purposeful behavior. Every action that we choose to make is an attempt to achieve a goal that we've set for ourselves.

In addition to choosing the goal, we also choose the means that we believe will achieve that goal. This applies to complex and multi-step goals, as well as to the simplest and most immediate goals.

Your Perception Is Worth Big Bucks To The Military-Industrial Complex

undefined

We all know how Hollywood and the crony media likes to portray the US military. It's almost always presented as this well-oiled machine, good looking people, white teeth, well-spoken, the whole nine yards.

Hardly will you see how trillions of taxpayers dollars go up in smoke and how the Pentagon mysteriously "loses" track of where the money goes. No, the actual truth about how government bureaucracy works is not what you'll see in the latest blockbuster film.

Perceptions are critically important when running an operation that forcefully takes money from American citizens. Perception is worth big bucks! As a matter of fact, Secretary of Defense Ash Carter had his hands out this week seeking yet another $600 billion.

Carter says:
Even as we fight today’s fights, we must also be prepared for the fights that might come 10, 20 or 30 years down the road.
Oh really?

This is where perception comes in. The belief that the US military (a) should be fighting for decades to come, and (b) that it's able to sit down and plan 10, 20 and 30 years down the road.

Ron Paul Rewind: 'Disband NATO!'

Contrary to how the mainstream media tries to portray the U.S. as an innocent bystander in Ukraine, the reality is that provocative meddling has been going on for a very long time.

Below is a speech that Dr. Paul gave on the U.S. House floor on April 1, 2008. It’s fascinating that the very same speech (with just a few minor tweaks) could be given today:

Mr. Speaker, I rise in opposition to this resolution calling for the further expansion of NATO to the borders of Russia. NATO is an organization whose purpose ended with the end of its Warsaw Pact adversary. When NATO struggled to define its future after the Cold War, it settled on attacking a sovereign state, Yugoslavia, which had neither invaded nor threatened any NATO member state.

Peace is the Enemy of Empire

Special Ops Map Us 630 0 1

Hardly a day can go by without calls for the U.S. to militarily “do something” in some foreign land. Whether it be Egypt, Iran, Sudan, Libya, Syria, etc…it’s a never ending carousel. And let’s not forget that if there’s ever a lull, some North Korean alarm will always pop into the news cycle to fill the void.

MotherJones published the above map showing the locations of U.S. Special Forces all across the planet.

With U.S. Special Forces sprawled out over half of the Earth, is it any wonder that the U.S. always seems to be involved in every flare up that occurs? Back here at home, we’ve reached the point where a professional sporting event cannot occur without some, and often multiple, homages to “the troops”. Football-field sized flags are constantly unraveled with fighter jets screaming overhead.

Misguided beliefs about troops “protecting freedoms around the world” must always be fresh in every American citizen’s mind. It’s the fuel that fires the Empire.

Why must the homages at sporting events, and in many other places in American life, always be towards war? Why isn’t the national anthem sung by a peaceful and productive member of society, like a nurse, optician, or butcher?

Ron Paul Rewind: Defense Spending vs. Empire Spending

Last year, debate “moderators” from Fox News had a hard time understanding the difference between legitimate spending on defending the U.S. versus the wasteful spending on the military empire. Dr. Paul explained it with passion and in true smackdown form, leaving the warmongers on stage, and in the audience, speechless.

Ron Paul Rewind: North Korea?

When North Korea’s leader, Kim Jong-un, ordered the arrest and execution of his uncle, the status quo in the country was strongly shaken. As can be expected, the American chattering class is attempting to come up with an angle for more U.S. troublemaking.
