Ron Paul: How The Aid to Ukraine Scam Works

On his weekly podcast with Charles Goyette, Ron Paul explains the Congressional trick that actually opens the door to far more aid to Ukraine than is reported in the media. He also points out that the IMF money going to Ukraine in great part comes from the US as well. The American people will bear the burden through the continuation of currency inflation to pay for this.

Also, Dr. Paul explains in detail why the IMF prescription to rescue countries like Ukraine is based on basic economic fallacies that end up hurting working people the most.

Ron Paul: US and IMF Bailout of Ukraine is a Bankers Bailout

Speaking Wednesday on the Ron Paul Channel, RPI Chairman and Founder Ron Paul challenges the United States and International Monetary Fund bailout of Ukraine, calling the bailout “criminal.” Paul explains:

All this nonsense we hear now of bailing out Ukraine -- it’s going to the bankers; it’s going for the politicians; it’s not really even going to help the people in Ukraine. It’s criminal. And yet the people here in this country are going to suffer.
….
These bailouts are always designed to bail out the banks. They are not designed to help the people -- just like our bailouts were in ’08 and ’09. They were there to bail out the rich, the bankers, and the military industrial complex.

Obama's War On History

President Obama's speech in Brussels this week was a shocking mélange of ignorance and arrogance masquerading as foreign policy.

Attempting to justify placing the US on war footing with Russia over the recent referendum in Crimea, the president stated:
Kosovo only left Serbia after a referendum was organized not outside the boundaries of international law, but in careful cooperation with the United Nations and with Kosovo’s neighbors. None of that even came close to happening in Crimea.
Of course anyone who followed the Kosovo fiasco knows that never happened. There was no such thing. Made up. The Kosovo parliament declared independence unilaterally backed up by US/NATO military power to ensure the change of borders.

Col. Wilkerson: 'What American Wants to Die for Kiev?'

RPI academic advisor Col. Lawrence Wilkerson appears in a thought-provoking interview on MSNBC, where he expresses his hopes that President Obama can find a way to walk back from the increasing US/Russia war footing. Asked by the host about the neocons who are increasingly critical of the president over what they see as his lack of aggression toward Russia, Wilkerson replies with a blast.

Col. Lawrence Wilkerson: How to Avoid War Over Ukraine

Col. Lawrence Wilkerson, speaking with Chris Hayes on MSNBC this week, details steps the United States government can take to avoid war over Ukraine. Wilkerson suggests:
Ukraine needs to be a buffer state between what is now an alliance that Russia hates -- NATO -- and a country that NATO has a problem with -- Russia… Crimea needs to be exactly where it is -- with Russia where it has been for over 350 years. And we need to stop the passionate statements and get down to business and work this out. We don’t need a war.

Ron Paul: Crimea Secedes. So What?

RPI Chairman Ron Paul has an op-ed in Tuesday's USA Today wondering why the US is so eager to saddle up for war over a relatively insignificant piece of land thousands of miles away. Dr. Paul is thankful that the bonds of international trade are tempering the passions of the US neocons and warhawks.

Geoffrey Pyatt: The Outlaw as Sheriff

Geoffrey Pyatt is an outlaw. The US Ambassador to Ukraine was caught on tape conspiring with Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland to overthrow the government in Kiev and install leaders of US choosing.

Shortly afterward, after plenty of blood flowed through the streets of Kiev, the smoke cleared and the government had been overthrown in just the manner these two had planned.

Was this an interference in the sovereignty of Ukraine? Of course it was, by definition, as was the millions of dollars funneled through USAID and other US pseudo-NGOs which created a fifth column of revolutionaries in Ukraine.

Did Russia Invade Crimea?

Unlike the impetuous and immature US leaders with itchy trigger fingers and an agenda of expansion that I do not have, I’ve been waiting to find out whether or not Russia invaded Crimea. We cannot know this with more certainty without learning more about the deal between Crimea and Russia, the back and forth between their governments, the view that Russia holds regarding the Kiev interim government, and the identities of the armed forces now in Crimea and also their relationships (are they fighting? killing? wounding?). Russia has leased bases in Crimea and does already have a right to a substantial armed force there.

This CNN article is helpful, and we get two conflicting views between Ukraine and Russia.

As far as I can tell right now, the following are factual.

Dennis Kucinich and Lawrence Wilkerson Expose US Role in Creating Ukraine Crisis

Breaking through the mainstream media’s suppression of contrary voices regarding the Ukraine crisis, RPI advisors Dennis Kucinich and Lawrence Wilkerson this week expose, on Fox News and MSNBC respectively, the United States government’s role in creating the crisis.

Kucinich, who served eight terms in the United States House of Representatives and ran for president as a Democrat, pushes past host Bill O’Reilly’s interruptions to state a few sentences of analysis
