Ron Paul Predicts Voters Will Be Drawn to Trump and Clinton, Not Libertarian Candidate

As a guest Tuesday on the CNBC show Futures Now, Ron Paul predicted that American voters, “as we get closer to the election,” will be motivated by “who they hate the most” to make a choice between the Republican and Democratic presidential nominees instead of choosing the Libertarian Party alternative. Paul, who notes that he has been through this process himself as the 1988 Libertarian nominee, also says that this year’s Libertarian presidential ticket is presenting itself with “mostly Republican viewpoints” instead a message that would really appeal to people contemplating voting third party.

Another US Proxy Force Defeated By ISIS - Incompetent Training or Intent?

The US military has again failed in one of the training programs it runs in support of fighting the Islamic State. Earlier training missions had failed to create competent and willing forces. Supplies for US supported forces ended on the black markets or directly in the hands of the Islamic State. Is all this really incapability or is there some intent behind this?

President Of The European Parliament: 'It Is Not The EU Philosophy That The Crowd Can Decide Its Fate'

If anyone needs another confirmation that the European Union is fundamentally the most anti-democratic entity currently in existence, then the following statement by European Parliament Martin Schultz should put all confusion to rest. Schulz: "The British have violated the rules. Chaos In Congress: Are Guns The Issue?

House Democrats held an unprecedented "sit-in" on the House Floor last night, protesting not being able to vote on new gun restriction measures. House Republicans nearly came to blows with their counterparts, as many of them blame recent gun violence on "radical Islam." Legislation to prohibit anyone on the "terror watch list" from purchasing a firearm was already defeated (for now) in the Senate this week, but House Democrats want their own vote on the measure. Both sides miss the real point, however. Neither will consider the real cause of the violence and therefore both sides seek harmful solutions. More on these dramatic events in today's Liberty Report...

Israeli Intel Chief: We Don’t Want ISIS Defeated in Syria

In a speech at the Herzliya Conference, Israel’s military intelligence chief, Major General Herzi Halevy, took Israel’s long-standing position that it “prefers ISIS” over the Syrian government to a whole ‘nother level, declaring openly that Israel does not want to see ISIS defeated in the war.

Quoted in the Hebrew-language NRG site, linked to Maariv, Maj. Gen. Halevy expressed concern about the recent offensives against ISIS territory, saying that in the last three months the Islamist group was facing the “most difficult” situation since its inception and declaration of a caliphate.

War Is Over: US Out Of Okinawa!

Seventy years after the end of World War II and a quarter century after the end of the Cold War does it make any sense to still maintain tens of thousands of US military personnel on the tiny island of Okinawa? Particularly as neither the local population nor its political leadership wants what they consider an occupation force to remain? Isn't it time for the US to put an end to its nearly six billion dollar per year commitment to defend wealthy Japan? Perhaps that's why the neocons keep trying to provoke China: to provide a pretext for the continued US occupation of Okinawa. More today in the Liberty Report...
