NY Times Truncated Ron Paul History Puts Libertarians in Republican Box

As libertarians participate in a trans-ideological and trans-partisan effort that may overturn the warfare-police-surveillance state, the old media leaders seem to be taking on a mission to tame libertarianism’s adherents by defining them as mainly a subgroup in the Republican Party.

First, the Associated Press and Washington Post ran articles, respectively, in June and July absurdly portraying Libertarian Party candidates as “spoilers” for Republican candidates — as if Republican candidates have an automatic claim to the votes of people who desire to support libertarian ideas.

With August upon us, the New York Times takes its turn, publishing Thursday an article “Has the ‘Libertarian Moment’ Finally Arrived?”

Big PR's Info Wars

Thanks to the Guardian, we can all get our daily dose of full-spectrum fascism in one easy swallow.  The high-minded, omniscient people from among others and for example, Burson Marsteller, who brought you Russian Economic Reform nonstop starring Anatoli Chubais in the 1990s, Kuwaiti soldiers running through incubator preemies with their bayonets in Gulf War I (co-starring with the Kuwaiti Ambassador’s daughter appearing one-time-only in the role of Nurse Trainee at one very special congressional screening), and many, many other FedGov misadventures, have come to a collective decision for the betterment of all mankind.

Andrew Napolitano: Obama Appears ‘Out to Lunch’ Regarding CIA Spying on Congress

Speaking Tuesday on Fox News, Judge Andrew Napolitano explained that Central Intelligence Agency Director John O. Brennan’s admission that the CIA spied on the Senate Intelligence Committee indicates President Barack Obama either has committed an impeachable offense or was “out to lunch” in regard to controlling the intelligence agency.

Napolitano, an RPI Advisory Board member, argues in the interview that the admitted spying “violates the Constitution per se” and that Brennan’s denial of the spying in a briefing of Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) may make the CIA head prosecutable for lying to Congress.

The Anatomy of Propaganda: Ukraine, CIA, WWIII, and the Power of Social Media

How does the Obama administration frame the issue on the shootdown of the Malaysian Airliner to pin the blame on Putin? Get out early, go hard, go heavy, get your mainstream ducks in a row and dominate, dominate, dominate!

But what about the narrative falling apart? Will anyone hear the lone tree falling in the forest? If the US provided some evidence we would certainly consider it.

Ukraine Antiwar Movement Grows

The Ukrainian government is desperate for more men on the eastern front to fight the separatists. The Ukrainian president, Poroshenko, has announced yet a third round of general military mobilization, and draft orders are being delivered across Ukraine. Scores more young men from as far off as the Romanian border face conscription into the military and being sent to fight fellow Ukrainians in the east.

Cash-strapped Ukraine is burning through $6 million per day as it enters its fifth month of attacks on separatist provinces. The government in Kiev announced late last month that it would spend an additional nearly one billion dollars on its military assault, while admitting that the treasury was totally empty. To make up some of the difference, the government announced that it was sharply reducing social services and would also introduce a 1.5 percent additional "war tax" on workers.

Did Ukraine Shoot Down the Plane?

Evidence from too many different sources raises a good deal of doubt about the US government version of the crash of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 last month. What about the Ukrainian fighter said by many witnesses — and seemingly confirmed by Russian air traffic controllers — to be shadowing the passenger plane? What about observations from OSCE investigators that the cockpit seemed to have been hit with heavy caliber machine gun fire? Was the Ukrainian fighter using the passenger plane as a "human shield?" Why does the US government seem to have lost interest in the investigation?

US Grants Israel Emergency Access to Billion Dollar US Weapons Cache

Just hours
after the Israeli government killed scores of Palestinians shopping at a marketplace and sheltering from the relentless attack on Gaza in a UN school, the US government gave the green light for Israel to access the "War Reserves Stock Allies-Israel (WRSA-I)," a one billion dollar US cache of weapons maintained on Israeli soil.

This US gift would allow the Israeli regime to replenish the 120mm mortar rounds and 40mm grenades of the type used to commit the attack on the civilian population of Gaza.

Col. Lawrence Wilkerson Exposes the CIA’s Ongoing Cover-Up of Torture War Crimes

Former US Army Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson discussed in detail, as a guest Sunday on Background Briefing with Ian Masters, a “major cover-up” in progress, with the US Central Intelligence Agency altering a still unreleased Senate Intelligence Committee report on torture

The alterations, Wilkerson explains, are intended to protect people, including high level CIA and State Department officials Cofer Black, John Brennan, and George Tenet, who Wilkerson thinks participated in war crimes “unlike some stalwarts and courageous people at CIA [who] refused to participate” in the torture program.

Another One-Sided Israel Vote Scheduled Today In Congress

Gazahell

It has been only a few days since Congress re-affirmed its support for the Israeli government's assault on Gaza, in which nearly 1,500 Palestinians have been killed.

In this ongoing operation, some three out of four Palestinians killed have been civilians. The infrastructure has been decimated. Gaza's only power generation plant has been destroyed by Israel, meaning life is about to get that much more hellish for innocent civilians.

Nevertheless, today the House will take up another one-sided, pro-Israel resolution. This one will be Florida Republican Ileana Ros-Lehtinen's H Con Res 107, which exonerates Israel from blame over the indiscriminate bombing of Gaza by claiming the civilians were killed because they were being used as "human shields" by Hamas.
