D.C. Delegate Asks The Right Question After Bizarre Incident Near White House

undefined

NBC correspondent Andrea Mitchell and Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-D.C.) had a bizarre encounter yesterday when a man dressed only in a bra and panties rushed then near Black Lives Matter Square and the area claimed earlier as the “Black House Autonomous Zone.” Mitchell immediately asked “where’s the police” and Norton added “where’s the police when you need them?”

‘Stay Home Stay Safe’ … Say What?

undefined

Near the top at a Dallas County, Texas government COVID-19 web page, just below a link people can click on to find out about a “job opportunity” in the county’s new “contact tracing” surveillance program begun in the name of countering coronavirus, there is a chart titled “TODAY’S COVID-19 RISK LEVEL.” Lit up is the highest risk level on the chart, appearing on a red background: “STAY HOME STAY SAFE.” You can see other governments across America promoting a similar message of fear at their similar web pages.

Say what?

Here we are over three months into the American coronavirus scare whipped up by people in the media and government. And this scare was preceded by months of sensational reporting in America on coronavirus overseas and the authoritarian government actions taken there in the name of countering coronavirus. Over all this time, it has increasingly become evident that coronavirus is much more like the flu viruses that Americans routinely deal with in its danger instead of being the super-killer disease originally advertised. It has also become clear that the threat of serious illness and death from coronavirus is largely concentrated among elderly people and people who already have major health problems. Thus, we see the large percentage of coronavirus attributed deaths — increased by government mandates — in nursing homes while professional athletes who have coronavirus tend to have no or minor sickness. Also, children seem to be at nearly zero risk of great harm or death from coronavirus.

Take this information all together and most people would do well to just get on with their lives as normal, accepting a risk from coronavirus that, for younger and healthier people, can be significantly less than the risk posed by routine activities such as driving to work, school, errands, and social activities — all of which, by the way, governments have forced many people to stop doing, supposedly to protect them from coronavirus. Of course, Dallas County, whose county government is hyping a coronavirus threat, also never had anywhere near the percentages of deaths for its population attributed to coronavirus as did places such as New York City.

Summer Of Love? Seattle Mayor Backs Down On Violent CHAZ

Just over a week ago Seattle mayor Jenny Durkan praised the takeover of part of her city by protesters claiming to establish the "Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone" (CHAZ) where no police would be needed - or welcome. It would be a "summer of love" Durkan gushed. Shortly thereafter a strong man emerged to proclaim himself in charge and automatic weapons were handed out. Shootings and violence followed. Now the mayor is eating crow, preparing to reclaim part of her city. Also in today's Liberty Report - More from Bolton's book on how he sabotaged Trump's outreach to North Korea and the latest on the "second wave" of coronavirus. Watch today's Liberty Report...

Year Zero in America

undefined

I’ll bet most Americans don’t know who Pol Pot was.

Pol Pot was a Marxist-Leninist, a student of Mao, and the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Kampuchea from 1963 to 1981. He turned Cambodia into a one-party dictatorship. He dreamed of converting his country into an agrarian socialist society he believed would evolve into a communist society. In order to realize that objective, millions were forced to toil in the countryside. “Bad elements” and “New People”—intellectuals, government officials, Buddhists, shopkeepers, disfavored ethnicities—were either worked to death in rural collectives or executed outright.

Between 1975 and 1979, it is estimated between 1.5 and 2 million people—nearly a quarter of the population—lost their lives. The Khmer Rouge made Maximilien Robespierre and the Committee of Public Safety during the French Revolution look like amateurs by way of comparison.

Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge called their terror campaign waged against civilization “Year Zero,” the idea that culture, heritage, religion, and history must be utterly destroyed to make way for a communist vanguard and the implementation of revolutionary culture. In China and Russia, similar revolutions resulted in the death of around 100 million people. The Nazis came in a distant second—they murdered a paltry 16 million people.

Coronavirus: 'Major Spike'...Or Major Propaganda?

The doom and gloom "scientists" are back on television warning of a massive new spike in coronavirus cases...while admitting also to a massive "spike" in testing and a massive decrease in deaths across the country. Are they conditioning Americans to accept another lockdown and shutdown of the economy? How to explain the hysteria over rising "cases" while also admitting to falling deaths. Plus today: "contact tracing" looks to be a massive boondoggle in New York. Can Texas expect the same dismal failure of its third of a billion dollar "contact tracing" program? The Federal Reserve is Getting Desperate

undefined

In a sign that the Federal Reserve is growing increasingly desperate to jump-start the economy, the Fed’s Secondary Market Credit Facility has begun purchasing individual corporate bonds. The Secondary Market Credit Facility was created by Congress as part of a coronavirus stimulus bill to purchase as much as 750 billion dollars of corporate credit. Until last week, the Secondary Market Credit Facility had limited its purchases to exchange-traded funds, which are bundled groups of stocks or bonds.

Black Lives Matter protests win medical approval, but not Trump rallies. Is Covid-19 a card-carrying Democrat?

undefined

As Donald Trump prepares for his first political rally in months, Liberals are hand-wringing over the event, saying it will be a coronavirus “super spreader.” Where were such fears just days ago, amid massive anti-police protests?

Oh, what a difference a Black Lives Matter protest, and a Trump political rally in an election year, can make.

As destructive as the Black Lives Matter (BLM) and Antifa protests may have been, they did carry, for one faint moment, a silver lining: America seemed to be getting back to normal, so to speak, as tens of thousands broke quarantine and took to the streets – many without the de-rigueur masks or social distancing – to protest the tragic death of George Floyd through the actions of a white cop.

Amid the ensuing mayhem, Covid-19 was dropped in the back of the media fridge like yesterday’s leftovers as “racism in America” now topped the menu. Suddenly, the joyless days of mask-wearing, social-distancing and shelter-at-home measures looked to be on the wane.

Tear Down this Plexiglass!

undefined

Plexiglass. They put up plexiglass between us. This may not turn out well.

Allow me to explain. On Monday, June 16, I was finally given government permission to return to the gymnasium that I had been affiliated with for over two decades. It actually is a satellite branch built in a large warehouse separate from the main facility. This smaller, “grittier” gym has more free weights to lift, tires to flip, and heavy bags to punch. I go for the boxing.

I also go for the people. The desk staff knows me pretty well, so much so that I get a “special” set of towels. They like that I usually come in with some quirky remark that generates a chuckle or two. Every time I enter, my goal is to get them to laugh. There is always some chit-chat. Each day I find out a little bit more about the staff, and they discover a little bit more about me – where they went out the night before, what muscles are aching me today.

But now there is plexiglass.

‘Pro-liberty’ Texas Governor Greg Abbott Supports Governments Ordering Businesses to Order People to Wear Masks

undefined

Texas Governor Greg Abbot, in an April 27 executive order concerning coronavirus, declared: “Individuals are encouraged to wear appropriate face coverings, but no jurisdiction can impose a civil or criminal penalty for failure to wear a face covering.” This executive order provision stopped in their tracks local governments that sought to enforce mask mandates as part of their coronavirus crackdowns.

Bolton On The Attack - 'Tell All' Book...Or Pack Of Lies?

President Trump's former national security advisor John Bolton's "tell all" book is to be released today over strong objections - and threats of prosecution - from the president. The picture Bolton paints of Trump in leaked excerpts is unflattering in the extreme - to the point of appearing almost petty. Was Bolton Trump's biggest mistake? Also in today's Liberty Report...villain of the week! Watch today's Liberty Report...
